The Eleventh Little Indian Boy

Because I'm still up surfing the midnight oil under the influence and tutelage of GW......the Friday Five:

1. How long have you had a weblog?
- Since 4/21/02......I jumped on the bandwagon right around when the ship started to sink.

2. What was your first post about?
- Something about not even having a journal as a kid because it could lead to incrimination. My first impression of the Jonah study. Steps of Rome and why it was my favorite place to eat in SF....until I found S@E that is......=).

3. How many changes (name, location, etc.) of your weblog have there been, if more than one?
- None.....about as saavy as Fred Flintstone and Astro combined.

4. What CMS (content management system) do you use? Do you like it or do you want to try something else?
- What the heck does a CMS do? Is that blogger?

5. Do you read people who have both a journal and a weblog? Or do you prefer to read people who have all of their writing in one central place?
- Is there really a difference? I love to read so it never really is a problem.

I find myself sitting in front of the computer now trying to leap over the blogger wall that has impeded me for the last few weeks. The process of combing through my thoughts, searching for suitable materials to interpret, and share alike.....it feels so alien. Still, at the risk of possibly being left off of the "Daily Newness" link section ( Staring right into the eye of the beholder as I type ) ........I'm back.......and it goes a little something like this........

Viva forever.....I'll be waiting.....everlasting....like the sun....Live forever....for the moment....everlasting.....for the one.....: Man I love that song / if you can tell me who sings it I'll give you a dollar , Lulapalooza!!! ( Details to come ), Crashing at MCTablehead's crib / dude is the neatest XY that I have ever known / 24 hour hot water ( or so it seems ) / muffled bird chirping ring tone......is that someone's phone or did a bird fly in somehow?, Farewell din din for Bon Bon ( Also tidbits to follow ), Tuna Melt on marbled rye with double cheese extra mayo......CRAP!!!....gonna go straight to my stomach and hips, Austin Powers: Goldmember......not gonna say a @$^!%@!! thing about it because you MUST go see for yourself!!!, Chris Simms....Heisman....Chris Simms....National Title....Chris Simms....First Round Pick....Chris Simms Chris Simms Chris Simms!!!!!!

This past Thursday evening was the first annual Lulapalooza out at Lumps. For those of you who aren't in the loop out west, it was an appreciation night for the women of the fellowship. Long overdue from what I heard. Haha. In my opinion it really turned out to be a great evening for all. My role within the whole process was more behind the scenes, but I was left feeling true satisfaction and humility in the end. The brothers ( and sister ) were able to get together, work together, fellowship, sacrifice, PRAY, and ultimately see things through. Amazingly things started, progressed, and ended right on schedule as well. I do hope that everyone who came out had an enjoyable time. Goes to show you that you need not rock the blue suit in order to " Make things happen ". Just got to have a little intuition and a lot of faith.

I was also able to attend a farewell dinner for Bonnie out at a restaurant named Ave. 9 on Friday evening. The roasted duck with spinach, prociutto, corn cake ( had some fancy schmancy name that I don't recall ) was certainly divine. A combination of Le Faux Frog and Pear Cider kept me in a very light mood all night and turned my purple necked friend even more blush than he already was when we first arrived. As tired as I was from Lulapalooza and recklessly staying up into the night watching MTV videos ( they show all the good ones at around 4 or 5 in the morning!! ), I was really amped and feel fortunate to have been able to hang out and chat with her a bit before she left. Why do you ask? It all starts with the first time we met.

Hahahaa.....the first time I met her was really random. Basically it was a Lumps "elimidate" way before the term was coined or justified by ratio. We were both kind of new to the fellowship and for some reason there really wasn't a whole lot of meaningful things to say. It wasn't until the ski trip mid February that I found out she was cool. Our car consisted of Myself, Jabrone, GW, and Bonnie. That trip was significant to me because it had all the potential for so much awkwardness: I barely knew GW despite being in the same small group......I thought jabrone was was a chump ( j/k....sort of...=) ).....and this Bonnie girl.....kinda looked like my friend from Boston who drives an A4.....but I didn't know....you know? You never really know with members of the opposite sex.....atleast for me I guess. It was really a blessing in disguise because the experience allowed me the opportunity to bond and establish a foundation with these people that have withstood the tests of being stuck out in the East Bay most of the time and being frequently overworked as well. I found her to be one of the most honest, versatile, humble, thoughtful, and sporty ( though I heard she's got no game on the court ) people that I'd met since relocating. All despite her ditching us for another car about 3/4 of the way home after boba in Davis. And most importantly, my first true female friend within the fellowship. I don't know why I'm sharing this. Actually I do know. You meet so many interesting and awesome people throughout the course of your life. It just sucks when the time comes for paths to uncross. All for the best though.....best of luck out at Yale and when in doubt always remember Prov. 19:21 ok?

On a lighter note......To mix up MCTablehead's shoes before he gets back or not to mix up MCTablehead's shoes before he gets back? That is certainly the question tonight. Probably won't because it will most likely get me in trouble.....but still.....ahhh the child inside!!!!

Not many people know about the ELEVENTH little indian boy. Quite simply he was the one who didn't really want to follow in the footsteps of the other 10 and at times even held grandiose dreams of being a cowboy one day. In a world that is changing ever so fast, one can only hope and pray.
