The Eleventh Little Indian Boy

Friday, November 01, 2002:

Hahahaaa....Its been so long since I've attempted a post that.....I plumb forgot what my username and password was. Such an embarassing thought....even more so than when you wouldn't use your locker for a few days ( Back in middle or " Haigh Skoo " ) and stroll into your next class needing to share text and materials for the day all the while bumming pencils and sheets of paper left and right. Alot has happened in the month long moratorium here at the LIBpost and I will now attempt to provide a recap based solely on retention and thought retrieval. Drum roll please.....

High ankle sprain / lazy defense + out of shape afterburners = mutated grapefruit cankle , Series of great studies both personal and fellowship related / certainly possible to be in the world yet not of the world / integrity can be viewed from different aspects and such....but the bottom line is that it comes naturally out of love and respect for the Lord / Joab....how can the guy get away with murdering 2 rival generals during the David adminisration and not get punished?......was so frustrated at the injustice that pastorial help was sought out.....solution.....keep reading until you get to I Kings and Solomon......Joab no more, Suckered by two trustworthy establishments that I will no longer patronize anymore / recieved a horrible haircut....found out they did away with complimentary rinses....raised the price by 3 dollars.....and let go of my usual barber / Set out to my favorite local chinese restaurant to eat my monthly hearty chinese buffet / was coerced into eating lobster ( I cannot stand shell fish ).....gorged my fair share of fish and rice before realizing the freshness was a little suspect that evening.....charged for 3 sodas b/c the new waitress didn't recognize me as a repeat diner......realized that the price for dinner was increased by.....4 bucks......sensing a trend here.....ok.....let's just call this "Act One" of the LIB post information retribution attempt and move on to something else.

So I was thirsty the other day and stopped off at my favorite convenient store out near my place in the valley. Have you ever wandered up to a beverage rack and were just stupified by all the crazy flavors and varieties put out by the various bottlers? Back in the day you had your basic coke, sprite, pepsi, Hi-C, minute maid, etc. etc. etc. Really simple products that served their purpose and quenched your particular thirst. Now a days....I believe society has been increasingly seduced by the perks and varieties in which technological advancements have made readily availible. This causes manufacturers to lean more on their R&D departments to constantly pump out new products in order to cater to specific audiences and keep their name fresh and out there for the world to process. The problem with all this is.....it is really hard to gauge what will be acceptible and generally speaking.....you end up with some really wack stuff that just grosses people out.

Case in point was my choice of beverage that fateful day.....Fruitopia.....flavor.....Cherry Vanilla Groove. Picked it on a total whim....synopsis. One of the nastiest mainstream beverages that I've ever tasted. It literally tasted like diluted cherry pie filling with a trace of vanilla extract noticeable only in the form of an annoying after taste. The experience was so disenchanting that I've even thought about writing to the company and asking them just what the heck they were thinking? I don't know. I may just be one person lost within a universe of bodies craving for the combination of cherries and vanilla.......one thing is certain though..... I have been seduced by the system and want my way right away.......and most importantly......when in doubt, you can't go wrong with a good ole glass of H2O....but then there is that new fangled "vitamin" water that's been put out recently.........=)

The All LIB First Team " Worst product encountered" All American Team:

1. Short lived drink flavors....Crystal Pepsi, New Coke, Pepsi Berry Blue Infusion, Mountain Dew Code Red, Arizona Iced Tea Strawberry Mango, Strawberry Milk, any type of canned " exotic juice" that you pick up at Hawaiian restaurants, Surge, Vitamin enriched waters.....why is Gatorade now producing water?

2. Basketball footwear....Air Shox VC2 ( think Nike shox hiking boots ), Air Jordan XXVII...heck....let's throw in the XXV just for kicks, Any Fila model bearing the names of Stackhouse or Hill, Dada CDubb.....the chrome was pretty tight.....but Dada? Come on....., Tommy Hilfiger court action.....see Dada....., Reebok ATR.....do you remember those old school above the rim Reeboks from the late 80's? Me either......who cares......., all low top models offered.....better have good health coverage if you wanna rock these bad boys.

3. Television programs and Movies.....abridged of course........Kull the Conqueror ( Kevin Sorbo as Kevin Sorbo....I still get grief for this one ), The Heights, Waste Land, V.I.P., The Deep End, Dr. Doolittle I and II, Kristin, Moonlighting, Thirtysomethings, Moesha, Little Nicky, TRL, The One, and the list goes on and on and on.

4. Books and Magazines......The Four Agreements, Dyanetics, Bow Hunter, All craft and home decor magazines right around Christmas time, Tiger Beat, How to Win Friends and Influence People....I'll admit it.....I read this one for a girl...haha......, Cheerleading Monthly, Who moved my Cheese?, I rarely come across a book or magazine that I don't find interesting.....but with some publications your initial reaction is just.....What!!!!????

Gotta run...Krabby be making me go..........

Not many people know about the ELEVENTH little indian boy. Quite simply he was the one who didn't really want to follow in the footsteps of the other 10 and at times even held grandiose dreams of being a cowboy one day. In a world that is changing ever so fast, one can only hope and pray.
