The Eleventh Little Indian Boy

rInhale....Exhale.....Wax on.....Wax off......Put your left foot in......Take your right foot out......Lily pads rocking your world will shake you all about.....the ups and downs of a life lived lately:

Went to go see 8 mile / eminem is a cool guy...more image than anything / great soundtrack / isn't Kim Basinger an Oscar winner? / give it a chance and go check it out, Car got towed after the movie / stinking signs were all spray painted to begin with / caught up with the driver just as he was pulling out and got shafted hard...." Sorry buddy, too late"....I should have jumped on the hood / Shorty came through with the assist / blew off steam by furniture shopping out in SOMA and then eating a hearty meal / Asia SF is cool....but not for 33 bones a head with no buffet....that's just wrong.....we rolled pretty quick and made out for chinese take out quick!!, Palace Hotel / Krabby and those stinking kids...go figure / such a beautiful old style hotel / tea time on Sundays....that's going in the playbook / established way back in the early 1900's / can't wait to explore it a bit more , SCBC ministry event out in Milbrae / Wycliffe is such an interesting organization / really like hearing stories of people encountering life in different countries / GL got moves like a young Elvis / I will never eat at Burger King again / headache like a mug down the stretch...prolly from not eating and only having a single lens in the beginning / overall.....makes you think.....makes you smile.....never underestimate the power of the Lord, Sequence.....this game is addicting / never won 4 in a row EVER....until now....muahahhahaaa!!! / Shorty looked competitive....but frustrated / The Rock....top 3....maybe best one I've ever attended....gotta write more about it below......so here we go......

So I didn't have many expectations going into the day this past Sunday. Things were swirling all around in my head from the days before and I can honestly say that I felt kinda funky. Not funky like saavy and cool in a sense where people admire your "funkiness"...ahem....DC and the shoes.....more like Dude! I am really in a FUNK!!! Mental lapse if you will....haha....anyways I didn't have high hopes when I found out there wasn't going to be a sermon....some days your heart is just aching for the Word.....but, the speaker really surprised me. He spoke of his involvement with the youth at Sunset Youth Services and provided some heartwarming stories of God at work in that place. I walked away with the concept that we truly need to become more than just a voice for God....but also strive to become his hands as well....never heard it put that way before but it totally went in line with what I absorbed at the conference the day before. Oh yeah, Krabby had a tear in his eye.....the big soft shelled lug....hahahaaaa.

That brings us up to the Rock....I'm flowing....feeling good....as soon as the doors open I bolt past Papa Smurf and get a seat way up front in the second row for myself, JY, and Krabby. Immediately I get shoved into the aisle....because it's funny to them that I'm the tall guy in the middle/front blocking all the views of the people behind me.....you know what?....it is kinda funny.....haha. Anyways, the leader came out and it was this dude named Brad who looks like Boris Becker. By far the best worship leader there outside of AAu....he proceeded to lead an AWESOME set of worship....just AWESOME!!! Strangely when we were done a person who I'd seen a few times before came out and did the closing prayer. Not the usual guy who MC's the event. Seems that he had planned it out with the core of the fellowship to use the time afterwards to express his love for his girlfriend and ask her to be his wife....infront of us all. I was stunned....by the boldness....creativeness of his chosen words.....declarations of dedication....and humility that he displayed before her. I couldn't stop smiling....just couldn't.....we were right there in the middle....Krabby...once again....had a tear in his eye.....wasn't sure if it was the same eye as before though....=)

Thinking back....that one moment at the end of the Rock totally made my weekend. Like reaching into a cereal box to get the prize and finding two instead. It's funny b/c on Monday evening I ended up ring shopping with JY and the gang for awhile. It was really fun and I learned alot about diamonds. Mainly they really do Bling Bling.....2.5 carats is HUGE....but not as bright as those 5.17 high beams behind the counter.....settings are many and pricey......it's all about the powder blue box......and holy smokes....now I know why they tuck the price tag into the slit of the ring holder so you can't see it.....=). Man, I hope all this wedding stuff wears off soon.....time to go watch Saving Private Ryan or something....!!

Not many people know about the ELEVENTH little indian boy. Quite simply he was the one who didn't really want to follow in the footsteps of the other 10 and at times even held grandiose dreams of being a cowboy one day. In a world that is changing ever so fast, one can only hope and pray.
