The Eleventh Little Indian Boy

Tuesday, August 12, 2003:

I'm having one of those brittle days where all existence hangs by a lone thread of insanity: Woke up. Couldn't find toothbrush. Used finger. Went outside to fold blankets on couch. Heard a crack. Looked down. Glasses smashed. Hopped a shower and came out to discover....didn't pack a clean change of drawers. Commando ( until I got to work where I changed ). Drove out to fulfill an appointment during lunch. Got lost. Late upon return. Went to cafeteria for a quick bite. Ran into woman. Both trays disheveled. Berrated by woman. Cleaned up mess by hand. Got back to desk and took a bite of my salad. Strangely inhaled as I swallowed. Tomato got stuck in trachea. Hacking noises ensued. Reached down in to throat and pulled tomato out. Neighbors gathered to see if I was ok. Lots of laughs. And that brings us up to speed for this glorious day.

*Update to the aforementioned glory....purchased a cheap game on Ebay only to find out that it was for a rival system, accidentally sprayed myself with the extension hose while washing dishes....twice, outscored 9-4 in 3 games of Winning XI, rocked by the Capitol in Live 2003 ( Cato and Griffin....sigh ). Tomorow is another day....

I unexpectedly ran into an old friend at the fisherman's wharf yesterday ( not Pier 39.....more like Pier Geraldine ). Her name is Paracelsus. It was a chance meeting indeed, for earlier in the day, I was just catching up with all of her past emails that I had saved throughout the summer. No, it wasn't like I was saving them for sentimental reasons. Purely out of initial skimming due to anticipation of length. You see....Paracelus is a writer....which would make me a lazy monkey. Anyways, it was really cool b/c the time was well spent catching up and forming mental pictures of the many trials and experiences a Christian endures while travellling in the world abroad. Highlights for me were: The experience of "dating a rebel".....( shotgun on a motorcycle....not dinner with Fidel Castro ), Finding out about how Wycliffe is doing out east and learning that her home has many peculiar creature features, one dollar will buy you a bowl of pho twice the size of PPQ, Thai people are seemingly among the friendliest in the world, always look before you jump, and finally.....the familiar grin of a friend transcends the boundaries of time and space......Accueillir Paracelus de maison!

Peculiar thoughts from days gone by: Experian, Yahoo autos, Bend it like Beckham, boiled chicken, the return of Stephen Davis up the middle, Dive, Sentinal / Ryu / Guile, yellow roses, farewell incredible Hulk, kitty litter, water wars, and drool. Unexpected drool while clipping toenails next to a bowl of salsa...haha...hilarious!!!

Late.

Not many people know about the ELEVENTH little indian boy. Quite simply he was the one who didn't really want to follow in the footsteps of the other 10 and at times even held grandiose dreams of being a cowboy one day. In a world that is changing ever so fast, one can only hope and pray.
