The Eleventh Little Indian Boy

Thursday, August 28, 2003:

I tell you what......Friendster is certainly a powerful presence in the online universe. In the span of one day I found myself connecting with all types of people ranging from old friends years removed to statistical junkies trying to rack up their total friend count. In short it blew me away. Still feel like a sheep though....Baaaaaaa! Now the only problem that remains is finding a picture that does me justice.....=P

*LIB note: also looks like a great way to meet other users of the opposite persuasion.....ahoy matey.....thar she blows!!!!

A funny conversation from lunch today:

Me: Man, you know what's funny?
POC: What?
Me: When I threw that seagull my pizza crust yesterday night and the thing swallowed it whole.
POC: Haha....did you see the wing ( bones from buffalo ) that IronG threw right after you?
Me: No....did it swallow it?
POC: Haha....yeah....it looked like the bird gobbled it down.
Me: !!!!!?????
POC: I wonder what's going to happen to that bird. It's probably going to die.
Me: Messed up.
POC: Haha....can you imagine how it's going to pass it out of it's system? Sucks to be a driver.
Me: huh?
POC: *using hands* to gesture a bird dropping falling onto the windshield of a car ( including skeletal wing ).
Me: Hahaha.....gross.

To most people, birds are very much associated with their long existing reputation of breeding many of the world's germs and diseases through their unsanitary way of life. No doubts from me on that one....yet....from a very young age I have always enjoyed feeding various animals in the wild. I think that it stems from reading as a child that a bird's survival and fitness is directly proportionate to the quantity of food ( as opposed to taste ) that it takes in every day. I dunno....I guess that it makes me happy knowing that the little bit of bread or crust that I throw may help them live just a little bit longer. This also applies to squirrels and other types as well. Oh well....I'm not sure why I went on this tangent. I'm tired and want to take a nap.

I got an email with a picture and a short message entitled " Do it" this morning. Sigh.....I just joined friendster. I feel like a sheep.

*LIB note.....Cameraboy sold me on the fact that it is better to get on while it is still free. You'd better not be lying to me brotha.......

Not many people know about the ELEVENTH little indian boy. Quite simply he was the one who didn't really want to follow in the footsteps of the other 10 and at times even held grandiose dreams of being a cowboy one day. In a world that is changing ever so fast, one can only hope and pray.
